The Wind's Farewell

A land of fields,
Where lavender grows,
I laid down slowly,
And let the fragrance flow.

It surrounded me,
All warm and lovely,
While the rays of the sun,
Passed by silently.

The lonely night,
Quickly came after,
Still I laid down,
Amongst the fragrance and laughter.

I heard the spring wind,
It spoke softly to me,
The words I shall never forget,
Engraved in my heart, will it forever be.
